Maintenance Technician – Traveling Field Support

Location Requirement: Based in Clarksville, TN

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: $60,000–$65,000 per year (based on experience)

Travel: Up to 75% – Supporting 30 Store Locations

Job Overview:

We're hiring a Traveling Maintenance Technician to support our growing network of Valvoline Instant Oil Change service centers.

In this role, you'll be our front-line expert, traveling across multiple store locations to perform preventative maintenance, handle urgent repair needs, and ensure all service centers remain operational, safe, and efficient. From electrical and mechanical systems to plumbing and carpentry—you'll keep our shops running smoothly.

Travel & Perks:

This position requires frequent travel—up to 50% of your time—across 30 store locations. To support you in this mobile role, we provide:

Responsibilities:

● Respond promptly to emergency repair requests from store managers

● Perform routine preventative maintenance across equipment and facilities

● Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems

● Handle basic plumbing and carpentry tasks as needed

● Operate hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment

● Keep clear, detailed maintenance records and submit timely expense reports

● Maintain a clean and safe working environment at every site

● Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and internal safety procedures

Qualifications:

● Must live in or be willing to relocate to Clarksville, TN (Relocation required before start)

● Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (Required)

● Minimum 2 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a similar or related field

● Comfortable traveling for extended periods

● High school diploma or equivalent

Work Environment:

This role involves working in an environment where employees are required to stand for extended periods, climb stairs, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. The job requires mobility to crouch, bend, twist, and work with hands above the head. Employees should be comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled setting, with occasional exposure to fumes and loud noises. Flexibility for open scheduling is also required.
