Job Summary:
A manufacturing Quality Engineer (QE) designs and implements quality control systems, analyzes production data, performs root cause analysis on defects, and conducts audits to ensure products meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards. Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining quality management systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams, training employees, managing supplier quality, and driving continuous improvement initiatives using tools like
Lean
and
Six Sigma

Key Responsibilities
- Quality System Development:
Create and document quality standards, control processes, and inspection procedures to meet company and industry standards.
- Production Monitoring & Testing:
Oversee and perform tests and evaluations throughout the production process to identify defects and ensure products conform to specifications.
- Problem Solving:
Conduct root cause analysis for quality issues, develop and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), facilitate improvement activities, and apply formal 8D problem-solving methodology to ensure robust resolution and prevention of recurring issues
- Quality Assurance
& Audits:
Support internal and external quality audits, evaluate quality inspector performance, and manage quality aspects of the supply chain.
- Data Analysis & Reporting:
Collect, analyze, and report on quality data, trends, and performance metrics to inform quality assurance strategies and improvements.
- Collaboration & Training:
Work with design, manufacturing, and other teams to ensure quality is built into products, and train employees on quality control procedures.
- Supplier Quality:
Manage and evaluate supplier performance to ensure materials and components meet required quality standards.
Required Skills & Knowledge

Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing or Quality Engineering or similar fields.
- Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of statistical analysis, root cause analysis, and methodologies like Lean and Six Sigma.
- Analytical Skills:
Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills are essential.
- Communication Skills:
Ability to communicate effectively within cross-functional teams and with management.
- Quality Management Systems:
5 years of experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and relevant standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Hands-On Experience:
Practical experience in manufacturing quality control and various testing methodologies.
