DIRECTOR OF CAPITAL RAISING & INVESTOR RELATIONS
Job Description
A Director of Capital Raising & Investor Relations acts as a crucial intermediary in the fundraising process for investment funds, connecting fund managers (GPs) with potential investors (LPs). Alliance Portfolio is seeking a Director of Capital Raising & Investor Relations to lead efforts in sourcing, cultivating, and closing commitments from individual and institutional investors. This professional will leverage their market expertise, strong network, and strategic acumen to scale our real estate investment fund and strengthen investor relationships.

Expectations:

  • Raise Alliance Mortgage Fund capital $20 million annually

  • $5 million quarterly

  • Current capital raised $19 million
  • Min investment $100K

  • Deliver AFM media kit within 1 hour of request

  • Initiate a structured follow up system, e.g. first call within 3 days after media kit delivery, 3 more follow ups every 5 days, then monthly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identifying Investors: Utilize their existing network of institutional and individual investors to pinpoint those most likely to invest in Alliance Mortgage Fund's private real estate investment fund.
  • Fundraising Support: Lead the fundraising process from start to finish, including preparing marketing materials, coordinating investor due diligence, and facilitating investor meetings and negotiations.
  • Market Intelligence: Provide valuable insights into market conditions, investor preferences, and competitive landscape to refine fund positioning and messaging.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with individual investors, RIA's, family offices, fostering trust, transparency, and long-term partnership.
  • Strategic Advice: Advise internal leadership on fundraising strategy, fund sizing, investor targeting, and marketing campaigns.
  • Negotiation: Facilitate negotiations between the firm and investors to secure capital commitments and finalize terms in alignment with the fund's objectives.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant securities laws regarding accredited investor qualifications and marketing disclaimers.

Key Skills And Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of private equity, real estate investment, venture capital, or other alternative investment strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build rapport with sophisticated investors.
  • Proven ability to raise capital and maintain investor relationships, with a track record of successfully securing commitments.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, fund raising process, regulatory frameworks, and market dynamics.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a high-performance team.

Education & Credentials

  • Industry-specific licenses (e.g., Series 7, 63, 79) may be required or preferred depending on investor engagement structure.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field required. MBA or equivalent advanced degree strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Regulation D offerings and investor qualification rules.

Compensation
Compensation will be performance-based, typically including success fees or a percentage of capital raised for the fund. A retainer, base salary, and/or other incentive structures may also be available depending on experience and results. Equity participation may be considered for exceptional candidates.
