Job Summary:
The training program manager is a leadership position that works cross-functionally to manage large-scale training programs related to a particular training vertical. The training program manager will build training programs within the training vertical in accordance with business needs, manufacturing priorities and manufacturing training team lead. The program manager should be able build the training programs that serve multiple departments, facilities and roles. The training program manager will partner with a functional area related to the assigned training vertical to ensure consistent communication, implementation of training programs and changes to technical requirements when such arise. This position is responsible for all training vertical related reporting. The training program manager drives organizational excellence through implementation, standardization and continuous improvement of training processes.
- Works cross-functionally with design teams to conceptualize, design, develop and launch training programs within the assigned training vertical
- Supports manufacturing leadership's strategic goals through development and implementation of training programs for all levels of manufacturing team members
- Manages all training programs implementation from project management approach
- Works in highly demanding manufacturing environment with quickly changing business needs
- Works closely with the manufacturing training team and manufacturing leadership as well as other business stakeholders to ensure appropriate resourcing and implementation of the training programs
- Develops appropriate metrics for the site-level training teams and training programs
- Monitors and reports programs' effectiveness and impact on manufacturing performance
- Able to deliver training content and facilitate train the training team programs at all facilities including international locations
- Applies instructional design principles to program development, job aids, training tools and presentations content
Conducts audits of the implemented training programs to ensure alignment to the standard
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
- Minimum of five years of increasingly responsible experience, which includes significant work experience in a related field
- PMP (or equivalent) certification preferred
- Ability to develop and administer a program budget
- Ability to research, collect, analyze, and evaluate data to make sound judgments, logical decisions, and defensible recommendations.
- Effective communication in writing in order to prepare clear and concise reports, correspondence, and technical content
- Provide excellent and courteous internal customer service, establish, and maintain effective working relationships.
- Manage multiple concurrent programs that often have competing timelines and deadlines.
- Ability to maintain cooperative relationships with co-workers and others contacted through the course of work; respond in a positive manner to supervision and attend and perform duties on a regular and consistent basis.
- Exceptional computer skills including Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, MS Project etc.
- Knowledge of plastics industry preferred
