What You'll Do
Our Racquet Sports Innovation team is looking for an enthusiastic
Project Engineer
to play an integral role in upping our game in the research, design, analysis and development of future tennis, pickleball, and padel equipment. You will help create products that other passionate athletes worldwide will love while helping them play their best Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Influence the design of the product by collaborating with industrial design and product teams. Responsible for approving the technical drawings for function and product manufacturing.
- Create and deliver prototype samples or specifications for prototype samples and validate the samples through lab testing and play testing.
- Communicate regularly with contacts at factories and Wilson Sports Taiwan office.
- Responsible for lab testing conducted to validate the product engineering and performance.
- Execute consumer testing that capture performance-related data.
- Review product samples for product quality and manufacturability. Responsible for final approval of the product for production.
- Support marketing for product launches.
What We're Looking For
This role requires a B.S. degree (mechanical, aerospace, materials science, composite, biomechanical engineering preferred) and 1-3+ years' experience in product development (sporting goods or consumer goods experience preferred). Other qualifications include:
- Proficiency in CAD, Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, 3D printing
- Demonstrated ability to execute lab testing, conduct data analysis
- Well organized, self-motivated with the ability to work independently and cooperatively
- A hands-on approach to problem-solving with strong analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the a bility to communicate and work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Strong project management ability
- A passion for sports is required; familiarity with racquet sports is strongly desired
- Be curious and have a passion for the next great thing

The Wilson global headquarters is located in the vibrant, sports-centric city of Chicago with first-class access to a burgeoning creative, innovative, energetic and active professional community. This role will be based at our WLabs Innovation Center near O'Hare.
A reasonable estimate of the
pay range is $70, $90,000.00 per year
at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education, and/or training. Please note that the range details reflect the base pay only and does not include our competitive bonus program.
