Summary:

Sewing Operator 1 must be able to operate a sewing machine in a safe efficient manner. Sewing Operator 1 needs to be able to perform basic functions such as change bobbin, run thread, change program, fill bobbin, change needle, and oil machine. Sewing Operator 1 requires operators to feed buckles, fold webbing, and align materials to sew to a specification.

Primary Responsibilities (essential functions):

  • Feed Thread
  • Fill Bobbin
  • Change Bobbin
  • Follow folding/feeding directions
  • Load buckles onto Webbing
  • Operate Sewing Machine
  • Hit production standards for given part

Secondary Responsibilities (marginal functions):

  • Perform basic maintenance on machinery such as oiling machine, changing needles, and changing feet.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Ability to learn and operate hot webbing cutter
  • Other production positions within organization if sewing isn't required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have High School Diploma, GED, or 1 year equivalent work experience
  • Must be able to sit for 8-10 hour per day
  • Must be able to perform repetitive motion using arms, hands, and wrists.

Skills:

  • Basic Measuring Skills
  • Good hand eye coordination
  • Industrial Sewing

Working Conditions:

  • 8-10 hours sitting and moving
  • Safety Glasses Required
