The Charlton School/Ketchum Grande Memorial School is a small, clinically focused, therapeutic residential and day NYS approved 853 school for students in grades 8-12. The Ketchum Grande Memorial School provides students with smaller class sizes 6:1:1 with a total student body of 42 students, to support their academic progress. Residential and day students are supported with collaborative treatment plans that include Art Therapy, Equine Therapy, Family Therapy, Social Emotional Learning, among others on a scenic 275 acre campus

Broad Function:

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive School Psychologist with a working knowledge of student assessment, processes for collecting quantitation and qualitative data, and translating those assessment results into empirically based decisions about educating our students.

Job Duties included but are not limited to:

  • Integrate psychological services and interventions into the classroom environment as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with the Special Education team to provide assistance to staff in the design and implementation of appropriate interventions and accommodations for students.
  • Contribute to program development that furthers the integration of social emotional learning.
  • Maintain professional records of assessment and data.
  • Participate in staff meetings upon request.
  • Conduct psychoeducational assessments (cognitive, academic, observational) and interpret results for students for the purpose of the home district committee on special education (CSE) determinations.
  • Coordinate the collection of updated information as it relates to the development of student IEPs and share that information with parents and districts as part of the CSE evaluation and meeting process.
  • Participate in building level meetings and district CSE meetings.
  • Communicate and collaborate with stakeholders such as parents/guardians, community members, educational team/clinical team as needed.
  • Participate in professional growth activities on a yearly basis.
  • Maintain effective communication and working relationships with the Education Director, Clinical Director and other members of the Charlton/KG team.

Relationships:

Reports to the Education Director

Works collaboratively with the teachers and teacher assistants as well as the Director of Admissions & Clinical Operations.

Work Schedule/Benefits:

  • Annual salary $68,000 - $80,000 based on experience
  • 12 month school schedule, 37 hours per week
  • Vacation and time off follows the school calendar with a 6 week extended school year program
  • 4 additional personal days

  • Tuition reimbursement, $1,500 per semester

Criteria:

New York State School Psychologist Certificate

Experience in child and adolescent psychology required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $68, $80,000.00 per year
