DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Florida Department of Education (FDOE) has an open position that is responsible for executing the following functions:
- This highly professional position is responsible for fiscal oversite, analysis, reporting, accounting and technical assistance of federal and state funds for school districts, universities, community colleges, community and faith-based organizations.
- Salary will be determined in accordance with current salary policy.
- Review project applications and amendments and assists in the development and interpretation of policy. Ensures compliance with existing federal/state laws and regulations.
- Propose and develop interpretation and policy statements related to applications and amendments.
- Assist in the allocation, distribution and reporting of federal funds for eligible entities.
- Maintain a current working knowledge of federal and state laws, rules, regulations and other guidance or interpretations.
- Work cooperatively as a team member with Bureau Staff, internal and external stakeholders to develop forms, guidance, procedures, and activities.
- Implement formulas and procedures for the appropriate allocation of program funds as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Required Licensure/Registration/Certification/Experience or Education:
- Ability to communicate effectively including verbal and written communication

Preferences will be given to:
- Applicants with experience in the Florida Grants System (FLAGS)

LEAVE INFORMATION:
- Annual Leave - All full-time Career Service (CS) employees filling established positions earn annual leave in varying increments dependent upon years of creditable service. CS Employees with up to 5 years of creditable service earn 8.667 hours per month, with 5 to 10 years earn hours per month and those with over 10 years of service earn 13 hours per month. Health Insurance for Individual or Family Coverage - State pays 80% of premium. Life Insurance - State pays premium for $25,000 basic term life insurance for full time employee.

BACKGROUND SCREENING REQUIREMENT
