SUMMARY
Provides Human Resource support to a designated business unit using knowledge of human resources practices and laws, company HR tools, practices and infrastructure. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

• Acts as a tactical HR resource to business leadership for various aspects of assigned groups of employees.

• Forms strong partnerships across the HR function to deliver value added services to management and employees. 

• Possesses working knowledge of company's benefit programs, HR policies and practices, HR systems and employee handbook in order to serve as a point of contact for employees and business unit leadership for HR-related matters. 

• Possesses personal and professional credibility to serve as a resource to employees and members of the business unit leadership. 

• Administers HR policies and procedures while optimizing use of internal HR resources and systems. 

• May be responsible for recruiting for temporary employees, hourly positions and business unit staff directly using company approved tools and processes, or through staffing agencies and recruiters. 

• May identify and solve employee performance issues and when appropriate apply company disciplinary processes for business unit employees.

• Collaborates with the HR Center of Excellence for compensation, benefits, payroll, recruiting management, HRIS administration and policy management. 

• Ensures personal and company compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws, regulations and company policies directly or in collaboration with the HR Center of Excellence. 

• Collaborates as appropriate with internal or external resources for OSHA reporting, workers compensation, safety and audits. 

• May provide tactical, administrative support to the HR team as well as business units

• May provide support to other members of the HR team including HRBPs as directed

• May represent Company at employee related hearings and investigations

• Occasional travel as required; reliable attendance is a must.

• Ability to work onsite 80% of the week.

• Other duties as assigned.

• Personnel and Human Resource - Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labor relations, and personnel information systems.

• High Language Skills - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.

• Basic Math Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

• High Reasoning Ability - Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

• Computer Skills - Microsoft Office, HRIS softwares

Requirements

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

• Bachelor's Degree; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Minimum of 3 years experience in Human Resources.
