Location: Springfield, VA (On-site)

Salary: $200K–$225K

Clearance: Active TS/SCI with CI Poly required

This position has a full Benefits Package including: Medical, Dental and Vision benefits with 6 weeks of paid PTO, Short Term Disability, 401k with 5% match and up to 8k in relocation assistance.

We're seeking a
Principal Systems Engineer (MBSE)
to support a mission-critical program within the
Intelligence Community
. In this role, you'll apply
Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
and
Digital Engineering
practices to design and optimize complex system architectures — ensuring traceability from concept through delivery.

This is a hands-on, high-impact position ideal for an experienced systems engineer who thrives at the intersection of modeling, simulation, and integration.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and maintain system models using
    Cameo Systems Modeler
    or equivalent MBSE tools.
  • Apply
    Digital Engineering
    workflows to enhance design, integration, and test processes.
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders across Government, SETA, and Contractor teams.
  • Lead system analysis, performance optimization, and model traceability efforts.
  • Support
    change management
    , impact assessments, and technical documentation.

What We're Looking For:

  • 8+ years
    of professional systems engineering experience
  • Bachelor's in STEM required, Masters Degree in related field preferred
  • Hands-on MBSE experience using
    Cameo
    or similar modeling tools.
  • Familiarity with
    Digital Engineering toolchains
    .
  • Proficiency in
    Python
    (C++ or other programming experience a plus).
  • Proven technical leadership and project management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph and U.S. citizenship required.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in systems installation, integration, and testing.
  • Familiarity with
    Atlassian JIRA
    ,
    Confluence
    , or other collaborative tools.
  • Prior work supporting
    NSIS requirements
    or rapid delivery programs.
  • Strong track record of cross-functional collaboration and customer engagement.
