Position Overview

• Location: 3501 Atlantic Ave, Virginia Beach, VA 23451
• Schedule: Variable or Part-Time (must include weekends and holidays)
• Work Environment: Oceanfront hotel right on the boardwalk

Summary:

We're looking for an energetic Barista to join our team at Sheraton Virginia Beach Oceanfront. If you love coffee, enjoy meeting people, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this is the job for you

What You'll Do:

• Greet guests with a friendly smile and take accurate orders.
• Prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, teas, smoothies, and light food items.
• Keep the café area clean, stocked, and organized.
• Handle payments and room charges quickly and accurately.
• Deliver excellent customer service that reflects the Sheraton brand.

Qualifications

• Barista or food & beverage experience preferred (but not required – we'll train you).
• Great communication and people skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
• Reliable, positive, and team oriented.
• Flexible availability (mornings, weekends, and holidays).
• Has never been dismissed from a bartending position from a former employer
• Must have basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Customer Focus: Passion for providing excellent customer service and creating memorable dining experiences for guests.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
• Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests and team members.
• Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order delivery and guest interaction.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift trays or other items weighing up to [X] pounds.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
