Position Summary

We are seeking a Veterinary Technician Assistant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is motivated, detail-oriented, and passionate about animal care. You'll work alongside veterinarians and technicians to provide hands-on support during treatments, exams, and procedures—helping to keep our hospital running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians and technicians with patient handling and restraint during exams and procedures
  • Prepare exam rooms, surgical areas, and treatment spaces between patients
  • Clean, sterilize, and organize equipment and instruments
  • Feed, walk, and monitor hospitalized patients
  • Perform basic animal care tasks such as bathing, nail trimming, and cleaning cages or kennels
  • Maintain hospital cleanliness, including laundry, floors, and general sanitation
  • Restock supplies and assist with inventory management
  • Support front desk and client communication when needed

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting preferred
  • Strong animal-handling skills and a genuine love for animals
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and work well in a team environment
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Comfortable with physical activity, including lifting up to 50 lbs and being on your feet for extended periods
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
