Process Mechanical Team Leader

We've got an opportunity for you here in our College Station Water Design Center (WDC).

As part of Garver's growing College Station WDC team, you'll lead a team responsible for producing designs for water and wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, lift stations, and other ancillary infrastructure associated with water and wastewater projects company wide. You'll be engaged in design calculations, hydraulic modeling, facility layouts, equipment selections, managing and coordinating support discipline activities, coordinating with equipment vendors and regulatory agencies, and performing quality reviews. You'll travel occasionally for business development purposes and when a project requires a site assessment as well as support during construction.

What you'll do:

Design water and wastewater treatment processesEvaluate, select, and implement water and wastewater equipmentLead the design pump stations, lift stations, and pump selectionLead hydraulic analyses of water and wastewater treatment plantsLead conceptual level designs for water and wastewater treatment systemsLead detailed designs, including contract documents (plans and specifications)Oversee the development of construction drawings and 3D modelsSupport construction projectsCoordinate with other support discipline activities, regional Garver offices, and regulatory and funding agenciesSupport regional teams with treatment related business development activitiesDevelop scope, schedule, level of effort, and fees for projectsPlan and monitor budgetsEnsure quality program compliance and delivery of work products that adhere to Garver standardizationManage and mentor teams

What you'll bring:

Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, chemical, mechanical, biosystems/agricultural, or related engineering discipline from an ABET accredited programProfessional Engineer Licensure (PE)10 or more years of direct design experience with municipal water and wastewater facilitiesTwo or more years of experience leading project teamsExperience overseeing facility designs, including detailed plans and specifications for major projectsUnderstanding of water and wastewater treatment plant systems in a facility-wide environmentExperience performing process equipment evaluation, sizing, and cost estimatineExperience with hydraulic modeling software
