Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and a passion for automotive repair and maintenance. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring that vehicles are in optimal working condition. The technician will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining high standards of quality in all repairs.

Duties

  • Diagnose and repair automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
  • Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot vehicle issues effectively.
  • Utilise hand tools and power tools for various repair tasks.
  • Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tyre rotations, and fluid checks.
  • Conduct assembly and disassembly of vehicle components as required.
  • Carry out equipment repair and maintenance to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Engage with customers to explain repairs needed and provide excellent customer service throughout the process.
  • Lift heavy components safely as part of the repair process, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
  • Occasionally perform welding tasks as needed for repairs.

Skills

  • Strong mechanical knowledge with a solid understanding of automotive systems.
  • Proficient in using hand tools and power tools effectively and safely.
  • Ability to read schematics and technical manuals for accurate diagnostics.
  • Experience in assembly and disassembly of automotive parts is advantageous.
  • Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs.
  • Capability to perform heavy lifting as required during repairs.
  • Familiarity with equipment repair techniques is beneficial.
