Job Description:

Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Intern – Product Management who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Pittsburgh, PA.

Hitachi Rail provides signaling systems for metros and light rail systems. Our solutions provide efficient, safe and green transportation solutions for people around the world.  This position offers you the opportunity to immerse yourself in the dynamic world of urban transit. You will gain hands-on experience while providing valuable support to your team. By working in this role, you will gain insight into the realm of mobility, significantly enhancing your understanding of Hitachi's missions and impact.

We're looking for eligible students to join Hitachi Rail  Hiring for May 2026 through August 2026.

Accountabilities:

  • Support the Product Management team in budgeting, pricing strategies, and revenue forecasting.
  • Support the Product Management team in market research to understand customer needs, competitive landscapes, and industry trends.
  • Support Product Management team as they Partner with the Manufacturing, Procurement, and Supply Chain teams to ensure successful product delivery and cost structure.
  • Support Product Management team in developing go-to-market plans, including pricing, positioning, messaging, and sales enablement materials.
  • Support Portfolio Management in maintaining the Standard Product and Application Portfolio Database, providing updated information on time

Requirements:

  • Has strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges, using a collaborative approach. Strong analytical skills.
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Possesses the ability to analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes. Finance experience in budgeting and forecasting.
  • He has a curious mindset and a passion for innovation and staying abreast of emerging technologies and trends within the railroad industry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.

Education

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business with a graduation date between December 2026 and December 2027.

Languages:

  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
