We are representing an industry leading FORTUNE 500 industrial manufacturing organization who is actively seeking a Senior level Quality Engineer due to newly awarded business. Reporting to the Site Quality Director, this individual will be responsible for supporting the Quality Department in the plan, coordination, and execution of quality control activities to meet all company and customer Quality requirements.

POSITION OVERVIEW

  • Coordinates the development of standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
  • Develop, organize, and maintain systems used to verify product conformance to accepted quality standards.
  • Participates in new program/manufacturing plan (launch) meetings.
  • Build quality into the product and process through the use of APQP tools
  • Investigates/supports corrective action activities required by either internal or external customer concerns
  • Review of Quality System documentation, instructions, procedures and quality manuals, and ensuring operations is in compliance
  • Interface with customers on quality needs and assist in processing, investigating and answering customer complaints.
  • Candidate will work closely cross functionally with other departments for project based work inclusive of Industrial Engineering (Process Improvement Initiatives)

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technical field preferred
  • 3+ years of Quality Engineering experience within highly regulated industry. This can include AS9100, ISO9001, IATF-16949, etc..
  • Metals/Metallurgy/Materials Science background highly preferred
  • Candidate should have experience utilizing problem solving methodology in an effort to implement corrective actions to mitigate issue.
