THE COMPANY:

Social Vocational Services (SVS) has been serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout California since 1977.

THE POSITION:

We're looking for full-time Direct Support Professionals (Creative Arts Coordinator) at one of our Fresno program offices.

  • Provide support to promote creativity, independence, and community integration.
  • Encourages and coaches experimentation on various art techniques to develop individual styles.
  • Supervise and monitor clients during daily activities (including, but not limited to: social skills building, art, recreation, volunteering)
  • Provide transportation to and from program and community activities
  • Assess, evaluate, implement and chart client's progress on goals and objectives

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • In-depth and verifiable background in textile arts, pottery making, photo, painting, music or other artistic profession
  • Good driving record and valid California driver's license
  • Post-job offer, must obtain DOJ/FBI fingerprint clearance
  • Must pass post-job offer job-related physical exam including TB test and drug screen
  • First Aid/CPR certification (SVS will provide)
  • Effective written and verbal communication
