We are hiring for a new opportunity for our client, a technology company with a public safety mission. Through relentless innovation and discovery, they are strengthening trust, safety and transparency across the student transportation space and making the trip to and from school safer for students.
This role is instrumental in helping to identify motorists who illegally pass stopped school buses, endangering the lives of young children. The ideal candidate will be highly proficient in reviewing high volumes of online videos and creating evidence packages through confirmation of violation details. Video Processors are responsible for documenting all video evidence in proper formats for presentation to the Police force. This work requires strong attention to detail, as well as the ability to understand and interpret various state laws and regulations regarding school bus safety. The ideal candidate will be technologically proficient, with video reviewing and editing experience.
Responsibilities
- Identify motorists who illegally pass stopped school buses, endangering the lives of young students, by reviewing each potential video event to determine whether a car has violated the law by passing a stopped school bus
- Possess strong computer skills and demonstrate the ability to learn automated tasks associated with video review and processing
- Understand and strive to meet or exceed video processor metrics/KPI's while providing accurate and quality evidence packets by adhering to standards and guidelines
- Process confidential data and information in the BusPatrol database
- Maintain and improve quality results by recommending process improvements
- Understand and interpret subtle differences between school bus laws and regulations in the different jurisdictions in which BusPatrol operates
- Be responsible for assisting the Processor Team Lead with goals and team projects, as well as supporting the entire operational team in cross-training initiatives to assist with departmental workload
- Be able to embrace a collaborative work environment and provide positive feedback to build a climate in which the team can succeed in bringing value and pride to their work.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Demonstrated intermediate level (or above) proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products (MS Office, Excel, and Word)
- Proficiency with technology (navigating cloud- based resources, IT software, and internet platforms (such as instant messenger chats, group poster boards, SharePoint)
- Superior level of attention to detail and proficiency reviewing and editing online video content.
- Ability to perform repetitive work (meet hourly quotas of video reviewing/evidence packet creation)
- Excellent communication skills and strong analytical abilities (critical thinking and problem-solving skills)
- Adaptability and Flexibility. The ability to work well in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment is crucial to your success
- Strong time management and organizational skillset
- Experience learning and /or using the following resources (ADP --payroll/ timekeeping; Teams - Internal Messenger for team communication)
- Ability to demonstrate a strong work ethic and the desire to work as a self-motivated team player
Work Environment
- Hybrid; work from home and days in office in Hauppauge, NY
- Monday-Friday work week, 8:00am-5pm Eastern Time
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time, permanent basis
- Pay is $20.00/ hour
