Position Overview

TMJ Capital (on behalf of Barco Fertilizer) is seeking a driven, entrepreneurial Outside Sales Representative to help launch and grow Barco Fertilizer's market presence.

This is a ground-floor opportunity to play a key role in building our customer base. The right candidate will be responsible for working existing leads (some already in progress, others untouched) and actively generating new leads through outreach to farmers, agricultural suppliers, landscaping companies, nurseries, and homeowners.

You'll have the autonomy to shape your territory, build relationships, and directly impact the success of a locally made, sustainable product line.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contact and follow up on Barco's current list of prospective leads (both warm and unworked).
  • Proactively identify and develop new sales opportunities across multiple customer segments.
  • Conduct in-person visits, calls, and online outreach to introduce Barco Fertilizer products.
  • Educate potential customers on the benefits of organic fertilizer and sustainable soil management.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with new customers to encourage repeat business.
  • Track sales activity and provide regular progress updates.
  • Represent Barco Fertilizer professionally at local agricultural and community events.

Qualifications

  • Proven success in sales, business development, or a customer-facing role.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset—motivated by results and growth opportunities.
  • Self-starter who thrives in an independent work environment.
  • Basic knowledge or interest in agriculture, landscaping, or sustainable products (training provided).
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Compensation

This role is commission-based, with earning potential directly tied to the sales you generate. Ideal for individuals who are entrepreneurial, self-motivated, and ready to grow alongside a new, locally driven brand.
