This entity will focus on short-term cryptocurrency options trading, providing high-net-worth and institutional clients with advanced investment opportunities, liquidity solutions, and risk management strategies in the evolving digital asset landscape.
Job Overview
The Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) will be a key member of Poloniex's executive leadership team, responsible for driving global revenue growth, optimizing commercial performance, and expanding the company's market share across the Americas.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the CRO will lead all revenue-generating functions — including sales, business development, institutional partnerships, client acquisition, and revenue strategy — ensuring that Poloniex achieves sustainable and scalable financial growth.
This role requires a strategic and data-driven executive with deep experience in financial markets, digital assets, or blockchain platforms, capable of balancing innovation and operational precision while leading Poloniex's expansion into the Americas.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Strategy & Growth Leadership
Develop and implement a global revenue strategy to maximize profitability, trading volume, and client acquisition.
Identify new growth opportunities across institutional, retail, and derivatives markets.
Set clear KPIs, revenue targets, and commercial frameworks aligned with Poloniex's global objectives.
Lead pricing, liquidity, and product monetization strategies to optimize revenue streams.
Americas Expansion & Market Penetration
Drive Poloniex's market entry and revenue growth initiatives across North and Latin America.
Develop partnerships with institutional clients, trading firms, and liquidity providers to deepen market reach.
Establish scalable business operations to ensure compliant, high-performing regional growth.
Represent Poloniex in high-level negotiations, strategic alliances, and industry events.
Institutional & Strategic Partnerships
Build and manage relationships with institutional clients, funds, and professional trading firms.
Identify and negotiate partnerships and alliances to accelerate global expansion and product adoption.
Oversee revenue integration from new partnerships, products, and trading channels.
Collaborate with product, compliance, and operations teams to enhance the institutional trading experience.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership
Partner with product and technology teams to align platform development with client and revenue goals.
Work with marketing and communications teams to position Poloniex as a preferred trading venue for institutional clients.
Mentor and lead a high-performing revenue and business development team focused on excellence and accountability.
Promote a data-driven, performance-oriented, and collaborative culture across the organization.
Qualifications
20+ years of leadership experience in financial markets, trading, digital assets, or fintech, including at least 10 years in senior revenue, sales, or commercial strategy roles.
Proven success in building and scaling revenue operations in global or high-growth environments.
Deep understanding of crypto trading, derivatives, liquidity management, and institutional sales.
Strong track record in developing partnerships, managing P&L, and achieving measurable revenue growth.
Exceptional negotiation, communication, and leadership skills with board-level influence.
Bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, or related field required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
