Job Purpose: 
Reporting to the Integration Manager, you'll work closely with the Integration Project Manager and focus on the engineering and maintenance of RJW's system Integration architecture between a variety of systems and customers. Your goals are to make the company more efficient and provide better customer service through technology. The Integration Engineer maintains smooth communications for our customers and ensures easy transitions when changes or maintenance are required. Daily activities will be handling tickets or errors produced from the previous day's activities, developing and implementing Integrations and working with the Integration Project Manager to identify and evaluate the feasibility of project scopes and documentation of new customer integrations

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Meets deadlines and quality expectations of the Integration Project Manager
  • Documents customer mapping/processes and maintains existing documentation for any changes.
  • Must be comfortable finding solutions to unfamiliar issues and able to effectively communicate your findings
  • Must be able to adapt quickly in a changing environment
  • Has strong interpersonal communication skills working with both internal and external customers
  • Adept at working with cross-functional IT teams to meet customer objectives
  • Work Integration Support rotations and work closely with the Integration Support Engineer

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of AS2, VAN, and (S)FTP communications
  • Proficient in Microsoft SQL queries and database structures
  • Cleo
  • JSON, XML
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products including Visio
  • Respond quickly to identify and resolve issues
  • Proven critical and analytical thinking skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of professionalism
  • Motivated and results driven attitude
  • Some weekend or after-hours support depending on business requirements

Must also demonstrate a sense of urgency, take initiative, sense of ownership of their work, strong team player, constant desire to improve, positive attitude, and willing to learn and experience a new environment.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years integration development experience (EDI, ERP)
  • Warehouse & Transportation Management Systems
  • Logistics/Supply Chain experience
  • EDI transactions 204, 210, 214, 810, 846, 850, 856, 940, 943, 944, 945, 947, 990
  • Any additional EDI management and mapping tools

Education and/or Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Informatics, or a related technology field

Language Skills Sets: 

  • Strong English language skills.

Mathematical Skills:

  • College-level math skills required.

Reasoning Ability:

  • Strong reasoning ability required, ability to develop and understand complex logic flows.

Computer Skills:

  • Advanced computer skills required.

Physical Demands:

  • Light lifting required.
  • Mobility within office environment.
  • Requires extensive visual contact with computer screens and data input.
  • Must be articulate and comfortable speaking in front of others.
  • Regularly works in an indoor/office environment and required to sit and/or use repetitive hand motion.
  • Frequently required to talk, hear, stand and walk.
  • Must be able to work in excess of continuous 8 hours when required.
  • Must be able to work under stressful situations, have good cognitive skills, maintain work accuracy, and the ability to concentrate on more than one task at a time.
  • Must be able to speak and communicate clearly over telephones.
  • Must be in sound physical health as determined by a certified licensed physician with no evidence of the use of controlled substances.

Work Environment:

  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment will range from quiet to moderately loud.
