Job Title: Nursing Assistant
As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate care to patients in various healthcare settings. You'll be the heartbeat of our team, providing essential support to nurses and ensuring that patients receive the highest level of care. Your dedication will make a difference in the lives of those you assist, whether in a hospital, nursing home, or assisted living facility.
What you'll do
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor and record vital signs, ensuring accurate medical documentation
- Provide support in administering medications and treatments as directed by healthcare professionals
- Assist with mobility and transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts
- Engage with patients to promote emotional well-being and comfort
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for both patients and staff
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop personalized care plans
- Uphold patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
Basic qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant or similar qualification
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in critical care, long-term care, or assisted living environments
- Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic or Cerner
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Skills in phlebotomy, catheter care, and medication administration
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia care
