Position Summary
The Clinic Services Manager (Community Health) plays a vital role in ensuring the effective coordination, quality, and delivery of the Pride Center of Maryland's (PCOM) clinical and community health services, including HIV/STI testing and prevention, peer navigation and substance use services, and sexual health education. The Manager works collaboratively with wellness and administrative staff to maintain compliance, integrate culturally competent care practices, and ensure client-centered service delivery that advances PCOM's mission of empowerment, equity, and wellness—particularly among diverse LGBTQ/SGL (same-gender-loving) populations.
Key Responsibilities
Clinic Management & Operations
Coordinate daily operations of PCOM's health and clinic programs, ensuring smooth service delivery and client flow.
- Manage a cadre of Peer Navigators, a Linkage-to-Care Specialists and a Membership & Engagement Specialist, providing supervision, guidance, and accountability to ensure consistent, high-quality support for clients.
- Ensure effective integration and utilization of the PCOM-Plus mobile app to track client engagement, incentivize preventive health behaviors, and strengthen data-driven service coordination.
- Oversee client intake, assessment, referral, and follow-up processes to support continuity and linkage to care.
- Assist in developing and updating standard operating procedures and workflow systems.
Support implementation of trauma-informed, risk-reduction, and culturally responsive care practices.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
Monitor documentation, case records, and data entry for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with HIPAA and grant requirements.
- Assist in preparation for audits, site visits, and reporting to funders.
- Maintain quality improvement systems, ensuring alignment with PCOM's clinic and operational goals.
Collaborate with leadership to track outcomes and service delivery metrics.
Program Support & Integration
Coordinate clinic schedules, including counseling, testing, and prevention services.
- Support communication between clinical staff, outreach teams, and program managers to align services with community health priorities.
- Strengthen referral networks by maintaining relationships with hospitals, clinics, and community-based partners.
Support program data collection, evaluation, and reporting for grants and funders.
Staff & Training Support
Facilitate staff coordination, case conferencing, and interdisciplinary communication.
- Support onboarding and training of new clinical and program staff.
Promote an affirming, collaborative, and inclusive team culture.
Community Health & Advocacy
Participate in local coalitions and community health meetings to promote PCOM's visibility and impact.
- Assist in planning and implementing community education campaigns around HIV prevention, sexual health, substance use, and mental wellness.
- Advocate for equitable health access and culturally competent care for marginalized populations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Social Work, Psychology, Health Administration, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- 3–5 years of experience in clinical or community health coordination, preferably in a nonprofit or community-based setting.
- Strong understanding of sexual health, HIV/STI prevention, case management, and risk reduction frameworks.
- Familiarity with clinical documentation, quality assurance, and reporting requirements for government or foundation-funded programs.
- Demonstrated cultural competence and experience working with Black and LGBTQ/SGL communities.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, EHR systems, and database management tools.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to equity, compassion, and cultural authenticity.
Working Conditions
- Primarily office-based with regular collaboration at program and community sites.
- Local travel required for meetings, outreach, and community events.
- Occasional evening or weekend work may be necessary for program activities or events.
