Lean Manager
role to be in Jacksonville, Florida.
Purpose:
J&J MedTech Vision Supply Chain is embarking on a Lean transformation to accelerate and innovate in the areas of waste reduction, operational efficiency, and supply reliability. This role will support leadership in developing a Lean training and coaching plan, driving consistent Lean communications, leading cross-functional kaizens, and developing Lean capabilities for the future.
You Will Be Responsible For
- Develop and lead a communications and change management strategy in partnership with Vision Supply Chain leaders
- Lead development and implementation of JJV Business Processes using Lean methodology, including annual goal setting, tracking, metrics, and business level updates
- Collect and/or create best-in-practice Lean tools across internal, external, and industry sources; lead communication, training, and implementation of tools across JJV supply chain (e.g., Tier Daily Management, 5S, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Problem Solving, Strategy Deployment, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Kaizen, etc.)
- Foster Lean and Six Sigma training and coaching programs
- Partner with Talent & Culture teams to drive capability assessments and mitigate capability gaps
- Deliver against the JJV and functional productivity, cost, inventory, capacity, and lead time annual and long-term goals; lead cross-functional kaizens and events as needed
- Instill a culture of continuous improvement, and a mindset of challenging the status quo
- Adapt to a constantly evolving environment and leverage change as an opportunity to improve processes and tools
- Plan and deliver trainings in improvement methodologies to raise the organizational acumen
- Coach partners in application of Lean methodology and tools
Qualifications / Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in supply chain or engineering
- 6+ years of progressive business experience in a regulated industry, with a strong background in supply chain
- Certification in industry or university Lean/Six Sigma/Process Excellence is required
- Proven experience in leading cross-functional projects and managing multiple priorities within a matrix organization.
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and influencing skills with the ability to engage partners at all levels.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, coupled with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Ability to work independently while demonstrating a high degree of initiative and leadership in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in MS Office and project management software tools.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 10%
- Occasionally, this position will require non-traditional hours to support teams in different time zones.
