Job Overview: 

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Portfolio Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will manage the renewal of business credit lines, monitor and order new property appraisals, prepare annual reviews, gather information for collateral inspections, and track and request updated financial information. Additionally, the candidate will handle loan maturities, monitor past due loans, prepare periodical statements, and act as a back-up for other portfolio managers and the Senior Manager - CRMD.  Applicants must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States. 100% On site - No Hybrid Schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

Portfolio Management:

  • Renewal of Business Credit Lines for Manhattan and Jackson Heights Branches
  • Monitor and order new appraisals where the property appraisal is stale
  • Prepare annual reviews for loans of $750K and above
  • Gather information and arrange collateral inspections for loans over $51.00M
  • Track and request updated financial information for review and renewals with Merit partners
  • Follow up on stale financial information for reviews/renewals and for Merit Partners

Maturities:

  • Track and request updated financial information for maturing CRE loans 6 months in advance and ensure the completion of the renewal package for processing with CCS
  • Extend CRE loans for the second term of five years, where the loans have the option
  • Calculate new monthly payments by re-amortization of loans for the remaining term

Past Due Loans:

  • Monitor past due loans on a daily basis via Cognos reports
  • Check borrower-related checking accounts for balance and recovery of installments
  • Make telephone calls/emails to borrowers where the installment is more than 8 days past due

Periodical Statements:

  • Prepare quarterly statements
  • Prepare agenda items for CRIC meetings, Audit Committee meetings, and Pre-Audit Data for Merit Partners

Other Responsibilities:

  • Any other tasks/assignments as detailed from time to time
  • Act as a back-up for other portfolio managers and the Senior Manager - CRMD

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in portfolio management or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in financial analysis tools and software

Salary Range:  $80k to $90k
