Overview

We are seeking a skilled and licensed Journeyman/Journeywoman Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive electrical experience, with a strong understanding of electrical systems, schematics, and safety standards. This role involves working on construction sites, renovation projects, and maintenance tasks, ensuring all work complies with NEC codes and safety regulations. The successful applicant will demonstrate proficiency with hand tools, power tools, low and high voltage systems, and troubleshooting using devices such as ohmmeters.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and construction environments
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute projects accurately
  • Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and low voltage wiring to ensure system functionality
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely to perform wiring, conduit bending, and equipment installation
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters
  • Ensure all work adheres to NEC standards and local electrical codes
  • Assist in renovation projects by updating or replacing existing electrical systems
  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other trades such as frame carpentry or maintenance person services to complete projects efficiently
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols at all times

Qualifications

  • Valid Journeyman/Journeywoman electrician license or certification Proven residential electrician experience with knowledge of high voltage and low voltage systems
  • Strong understanding of NEC regulations, schematics reading, and blueprint interpretation
  • Experience working on construction sites with familiarity in renovation projects
  • Proficiency with hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, pliers), power tools (e.g., drills), and diagnostic equipment (ohmmeters)
  • Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Physical ability to perform manual tasks including lifting heavy equipment and working at heights or confined spaces
