Overview

The Benefit Operations & Enrollment Analyst will be responsible for the administration of COBRA, HIPAA, Reimbursement, Medical, Dental, Vision and other enrollment-related services, ensuring compliance with federal regulations. This role will involve processing various forms of enrollment, handling COBRA premium payments, maintaining accuracy in enrollment data, and supporting clients with technical and professional expertise.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required. Associates degree preferred.
  • Two (2) years of customer service experience required, preferably in a healthcare-related field.
  • Experience in COBRA/HIPAA administration preferred.
  • Familiarity with 834 or similar enrollment-related files preferred.
  • Experience with beta testing, including documentation, interpretation and analysis.
  • Experience with direct communications to and from clients and customers.
  • Proficient in utilizing multiple systems of record simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with providers, members, employers, and brokers.
  • Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage time efficiently and handle confidential information.
  • Flexibility to work additional hours as required by department.

Essential Accountabilities
  • Process enrollments through various submission methods including portals, spreadsheets, paper forms, emails, and faxes.
  • Process Delta Dental, Nova Dental, Reimbursement, vision and medical enrollments, including additions, terminations, and changes, ensuring system accuracy.
  • Review Independent Health enrollment files and update COBRA-related entries as necessary.
  • Administer COBRA enrollments, terminations, report generation, renewal rate requests, and compliance letters.
  • Generate and distribute COBRA Election Notices upon receipt of termination notices.
  • Receive and post COBRA premium payments, ensuring accuracy.
  • Issue HIPAA Certificates at termination for applicable clients.
  • Act as a backup for identification card printing as needed.
  • Support employer and broker meetings via phone or video conferencing.
  • Daily communications via phone, email or portal, with clients, brokers or internal departments.
  • Investigate and resolve issues related to enrollment and COBRA processes.
  • Maintain an in-office presence as required by operational needs.
  • Assist with operational improvements, process documentation, and efficiency initiatives.
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert in annual audits displaying adherence to Standard Operating Procedures.

Hiring Compensation Range: $ $23.50 hourly

Compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to skills, education, location and experience. 

In addition to base compensation, associates may be eligible for a scorecard incentive, full range of benefits and generous paid time off. The base salary range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
