Position: Assembly Specialist

GST Manufacturing is seeking qualified Assembly Specialists that will be mechanically inclined with relevant experience, including reading blueprints/instructions and working with specific power tools and hand tools.

Responsibilities

  1. Work with production teams in the shop for mechanical assembly and make ready metal products such as control and switch cabinets, projection windows, skids, ladders, control cabins, sinks, food service prep equipment, kiosks, retail merchandising units, displays, and other products.

  2. Ensure that all products are built with quality and accuracy, in accordance with the approved drawings

  3. Preform said tasks within time parameters estimated per job.

Basic Qualifications

  1. Prior experience in mechanical/sheet metal assemblies preferred

  2. Ability to read blueprints required

  3. Basic knowledge of electrical assemblies and wiring is a plus, but not mandatory

  4. Valid driver's license

  5. Self-motivated and able to work alone or as a team

  6. Able to work under pressure and put in hours required by project deadlines

  7. Work weekends and frequent overtime as required

  8. Able to read Calipers, Micrometer, and Millimeter tape

  9. Bilingual in English & Spanish

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation is hourly and is commensurate with experience. Benefits including medical, dental and vision insurance for the employee with small employee contribution, 401K with company match, life insurance, disability insurance, paid holidays and paid time off are accrued in accordance with the vesting procedures set forth in the company handbook.

Founded in 1933 with its principal offices located in Haltom City, Texas, GST Manufacturing ) is a metal fabricator that promotes and sells full OEM assemblies and subassemblies, private labeled products and its own branded products to diverse clientele in industries such as construction, retail, cinema, food service, energy, transportation, and precision.

GST's capabilities include laser, plasma and waterjet cutting, punching, press brake, weld, CNC machining, paint, powder coat, assembly, and on-site installation.
