Duties

  • Develop, test, and maintain advanced R scripts and packages to support data analysis, visualization, and reporting tasks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable solution architectures that integrate R with other systems such as Salesforce, PegaSystems, and cloud platforms like AWS and Azure.
  • Build and optimize ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to facilitate seamless data flow from various sources including NoSQL databases like MongoDB or Cassandra, relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Implement system design enhancements for IT infrastructure components including load balancing, firewalls, VPNs, DNS management, DHCP configuration, and system hardening to ensure security and performance.
  • Manage cloud security protocols and system administration tasks within cloud environments utilizing Kubernetes, VMware ESXi/ESXi virtualization platforms, and containerization tools like Docker.
  • Support continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools to streamline development workflows.
  • Contribute to the development of microservices architecture utilizing RESTful APIs and SOAP web services for scalable application deployment.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and threat intelligence analysis to enhance information security measures across systems.
  • Assist in debugging complex code issues involving C++, C#, Python, Ruby on Rails, JavaScript (including React Express), VBA, Shell Scripting, Bash scripts for Unix/Linux environments.
  • Participate actively in Agile methodologies to ensure iterative progress on projects aligned with SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) best practices.
  • Support system architecture planning by integrating DevOps practices such as system automation with WDS (Windows Deployment Services), GPO (Group Policy Objects), and scripting for system management tasks.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in R programming with a strong understanding of statistical computing techniques.
  • Solid knowledge of solution architecture principles including service-oriented architecture (SOA) and microservices design patterns.
  • Hands-on experience with ETL processes and data pipeline development across diverse database systems—SQL (MySQL/PostgreSQL/Oracle), NoSQL (MongoDB/Cassandra).
  • Familiarity with IT infrastructure components such as load balancing solutions, firewalls, VPNs, DNS/DHCP configuration, virtualization technologies like VMware ESXi/VMware vSphere.
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms including AWS and Azure along with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Strong understanding of system security practices including system hardening, vulnerability management/assessment, threat intelligence analysis.
  • Experience working with RESTful APIs and web services (SOAP) for application integration.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Shell Scripting/Bash for automation tasks.
  • Experience with DevOps tools like Jenkins for CI/CD pipelines; version control systems such as Git.
  • Familiarity with operating systems including Windows Server environments and Linux distributions.
  • Background in computer science or systems engineering with a focus on system design or computer networking principles.
