Job Summary

The Quartermaster is responsible for making sure equipment, materials and systems are available and functioning for missions. More specifically, the quartermaster provides support for all aspects of services, delivery, and material and distribution management. The Quartermaster reports to Operations and/or Management.

Primary Job Duties

  • Order, maintain, track and issue equipment, materials and supplies for assigned departments. Evaluate functionality of equipment/supplies to ensure they are operating at manufacturer standards.
  • Record keeping and tracking of all inbound /outbound deliveries. This could include receipt of vendor deliveries, packages and physical equipment.
  • Responsible for logistical activities such as shipping / receiving materials through coordination with 3rd party vendors. Responsible for oversight of ALL incoming/outgoing trucks and/or deliveries.
  • Ensure inventory lists are updated and available for use. Keep a good working knowledge of DMG's warehouse and it's operations.
  • Maintains logs/ records and databases of all materials issued.
  • Receives requests for equipment and supplies and fills such request in adherence to SOP's.
  • Oversees issuance of equipment to contractors and vendors. Maintain sign in / sign out logs. Responsibilities could include monitoring of Warehouse, Tool Room, Heavy Equipment & ATV issuance, Radio distribution, PPE Distribution etc.
  • Work closely with Operations to ensure tool, hardware and equipment requirements are available.
  • Ability to visually assess damage to equipment and/or shipments and accurately address issue with contractors and/or Management.
  • Ensure all items are properly stored and secured.
  • If requested by Management, perform Procurement related duties.
  • Ability to create accurate and descriptive BOLs (Bill of Laden) in accordance with SOP's.
  • Promote a positive work environment for all employees.
  • Forklift requirements IF FORKLIFT CERTIFIED ONLY: Heavy equipment operators for warehouse fork (in/around warehouse), Reach Fork (general moves around site of DMG material, deliveries, water, etc).
  • May be asked to work Day or Night Shift. During the Critical Completion phase, a typical day consists of a 12-hour workday, however, hours may fluctuate. Once the Operation and Maintenance Phase is reached hours may be reduced.
  • Other duties as assigned and/or required.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • The work is heavy work which requires the ability to exert heavy physical effort in work, including carrying, pushing/pulling moderately heavy objects and materials (ex lbs)
  • Work is regularly performed outdoors with exposure to environmental conditions.
  • This position requires travel to the required work site.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Forklift certification is recommended.
  • Should be detailed, organized, and have the ability to quickly resolve issues. Must work well with others.
  • MS Office & basic computer knowledge.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must be able to pass a background check, security clearance check, motor vehicle checks and drug test
  • Must have a Valid Driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Bilingual a plus (Spanish)

Education

  • 3-5 years of experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Any Trade or certification is a plus
  • Experience with the following should be furnished if applicable: Military Experience, License trade certifications, CDL, Hazmat certifications, Safety Courses, OSHA Coursework, FEMA coursework etc.
