TerraBella Senior Living is looking for a Regional Director of Culinary Services.

This position assumes a primary role in ensuring that the communities are compliant with State and Federal Regulations and ensuring top notch hospitality and service standards throughout Discovery.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and assists with the creation of menu items and menu cycles.
  • Assists with selection and training of menu software.
  • Participates in the selection and review process for Community Directors of Culinary Service.
  • Negotiates with vendors to insure best company pricing, selection and service;
  • Develop staffing standards for kitchen and dining service personnel.
  • Work with Sales and Marketing to assist with outreach efforts and special events at communities.
  • Provides standards and guidance for safe food handling and storage procedures.
  • Trains and assists management staff for controlling Raw Food costs at each community.
  • Develop menu and service standards appropriate to each resident constituency served by the company.
  • Assist with the development of Chef competition events and signature food items.
  • Assist with planning and standards for special resident dining events (themed dining, celebrations, resident satisfaction).
  • Provide guidance and standards for resident food council meetings, including minutes and action plans.
  • Provide assistance with Ambassador referral dining events.
  • Participate and assist in the development of signature dining programs.
  • Develop and train on standards of service, uniforms and dining room setup for all dining locations.
  • Assist with the development, including technology, for multiple dining venues.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Provides guidance to community Executive Directors and Directors of Culinary Service and others as assigned to assure delivery of consistently high-quality service to residents. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts program strongly preferred
  • Five (5) year management experience in a food service environment
  • Must have successfully completed food safety training
