Job Description
Rockwell Automation is seeking a
Vice President, Global Market Access
to serve as a key member and business leader within the go-to-market organization. The Vice President, Global Market Access is a transformational enterprise leader who will lead all aspects of Rockwell's Channels business globally. You will lead channel strategy to significantly increase total revenue driven through the partner ecosystem, which consists of distributors/resellers, global/regional SIs, OEMs and licensed developers.

You will be responsible for developing, communicating and executing new go-to-market approaches that drive scale across Rockwell's ecosystem of partners. Additionally, this individual will build and develop new strategic relationships with executives internally and externally across Rockwell's partner organizations. Leveraging their deep expertise across the ecosystem, the Vice President, Global Market Access will oversee the partner program and drive focused enablement efforts aligned with Rockwell's growth strategy. You will report to the Senior Vice President Chief Revenue Officer; and work a hybrid work schedule in Milwaukee, WI.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a public, multi-billion dollar organization with over 70% of annual revenue that is currently partner sourced, and a pivotal moment to help drive toward Rockwell's next milestone of doubling revenue over the next several years.

Your Responsibilities

  • You will provide leadership to the team on overall partner ecosystem selling and co-selling strategy and execution around sell to, sell through, and sell with motions, including driving acquisitions and new product introductions through our ecosystem.
  • Establish robust relationships with targeted new channel and alliance partners. Design, manage and execute programs globally to maximize sales revenue, touch, and influence across all channel partners.
  • Collaborate with field sales teams to identify, evolve and accelerate integration of partners that add value to current customers, identify incremental customer opportunities and assist in current sales pursuits where directed by the customer or Rockwell sales team.
  • Oversee cost optimization and disciplined process management across the function.
  • You will lead business results through an outcome-based, partner sales approach by first understanding the evolving industry trends to provide value to Rockwell customers and partners alike.
  • Understand and communicate the strategic vision of the channel team to the broader company and act as the "expert advisor" on all things channel for Rockwell.
  • Build relationships across the customer and Rockwell Automation's partner organizations, with emphasis on the C-Suite to ensure customer engagement which secures our relationships and accelerates our performance.
  • You will use your expertise in global industry large-deal management to accelerate Rockwell's performance worldwide.
  • Demonstrate expertise in the indirect sales process, funnel management, contract negotiation, global pricing, and deal execution for all of Rockwell's business units.
  • Maintain awareness of market trends and strategies, and their impact on Rockwell Automation as a whole.
  • Develop Key Performance Indicators and measurable metrics for all partners.
  • Establish metrics to measure results for the Rockwell channel team and use this data to lead overall decisioning.
  • You will participate in senior leadership conversations about the macro-business environment, unique business strategies and industry outcomes.
  • Maintain close links to all Rockwell's business units to determine business needs, strategic directions, commercial programs and partnership-centric business development activities.
  • Manage direct reports, while providing influential leadership of those not directly reporting to you consisting of critical sales, delivery, sales support, business unit, and functional colleagues.
  • Create an inclusive environment that attracts, retains and develops leadership talent for future needs.

The Essentials - You Will Have

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
  • Occasional travel is up to 20%- domestically and internationally.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have

  • Typically requires a minimum of 15 years leadership experience
  • Bachelor's degree, MBA or other advance degree
  • Experience influencing business leaders and partners in a complex global matrixed organization
  • Experience working through complex problem solving and developing global go-to-market strategies.
  • Prior sales experience through channel and partner programs that revolve around hardware, software, services portfolios.
