The Sr. Associate of Policy Operations will lead in supporting the Policy team on funding development, reporting and tracking, budgeting, management and reporting of goals, policymaker engagement, and CEBA member management, among other duties.

The position offers a hybrid work arrangement, with team collaboration days on Mondays and Wednesdays and one additional in-office day each week, determined by team priorities.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Track and maintain grant deliverables, deadlines, and compliance requirements across active funding agreements, structuring work to ensure accuracy and programmatic execution under constrained resources.
  • Draft and support grant applications, collecting data and coordinating with internal teams to generate original ideas, integrate new learning, and articulate the organization's mission and core tenets in proposals.
  • Prepare and compile progress reports and metrics for funders, applying quantitative and qualitative acumen to ensure timely, accurate reporting that contributes to organizational outcomes.
  • Monitor and update budget and goal tracking dashboards, anticipating modifications from shifting priorities and proactively improving processes to keep activities aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Identify and coordinate stakeholder engagement opportunities, including policymaker engagement, demonstrating respectful dialogue, tactful facilitation, and leadership in complex conversations.
  • Manage briefings, meetings, and webinars, leading preparation, scheduling, and follow-up with strong story-lining skills that incorporate organizational values and foster constructive group discussions.
  • Support member engagement and communications, adding value to conversations, mentoring junior staff where appropriate, and demonstrating service to others and the team above individual needs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred; or equivalent and relevant work experience
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience

  • Experience with grant management, reporting and development.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with external stakeholders, members, and partners.
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM/software.
  • Curiosity, critical thinking, and ability to translate policy information into accessible materials for diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to a positive and mission-driven team culture.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage recurring operational workflows and deadlines.
  • Excellent written communication skills, including experience developing meeting agendas, briefings, slide decks, and email communications.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional meetings, events, or policy engagements.
  • Proficiency with productivity and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Office, SharePoint, , or similar platforms.
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation for the Sr. Associate for Policy Operations ranges from $90,000 to $100,000 as a base salary, depending on experience and qualifications. All CEBA employees are eligible to participate in the annual bonus incentive plan, which is based on both organizational and individual performance. The HR Specialist may also receive a discretionary bonus of up to 5%, contingent on individual and company performance.
