Job Title: Mechanical Engineer (Genset)

Location: Lafayette, IN

Duration: Full Time

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Mechanical & Electrical components packaging design.
  • Hands on experience and knowledge in design, manufacturing processes of large enclosures (Gensets)
  • Project management experience
  • Previous experience in Genset is desired
  • Experience in managing large assemblies and Bill of Material
  • Pricelist and configuration management experience will be plus
  • Lead and manage requirements definition, design concepts, analysis/simulation, design down select, validation activities.
  • Collaborate with internal process partners, suppliers, and internal/external customers on multiple projects that will be taking place simultaneously
  • Create and present informal and formal design reviews

Basic Qualifications:

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in an accredited Engineering curriculum and 3+ years of progressive work experience
  • Component and system level design experience
  • Experience with Electric Power Gensets, Large Engines Design & Development
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organization and time management skills

Top Candidates will also have:

  • Experience in CREO 3D modeling tools
  • Experience in Teamcenter Engineering tools and/or other PLM tools
  • Knowledge of Engine components and sub-systems

Component level design experience with mechanical fabrications
