BIM/CAD Specialist – Digital Design & Infrastructure Coordination Seattle, WA | Full-Time
GEMS is seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy BIM/CAD Specialist to support the development, coordination, and implementation of digital design workflows across our capital programs. This role is essential to advancing our BIM/CAD/GIS initiatives and ensuring seamless collaboration across disciplines. Major projects include Light rail, Trains, and Bus rapid transit.
What You'll Do:
- Create and evaluate digital models using AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, VEO, and other BIM/CAD/GIS platforms
- Administer Autodesk BIM360 Design (or equivalent) environments, including file organization and access control
- Develop and refine standards and processes for data management and model coordination
- Support the implementation of BIM/CAD/GIS initiatives across planning, design, and construction phases
- Produce custom models, exhibits, and graphics to communicate project interdependencies and technical information
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Digital model creation and review
- File system administration and version control
- Data standardization and process development
- Visual communication of complex project data
- Cross-functional coordination with design and engineering teams
What You Bring:
- 10+ years of BIM/CAD experience on large-scale projects
- Associate's degree in engineering, computer science, or related field (required); Bachelor's degree preferred
- Relevant certifications in BIM/CAD/GIS platforms or digital design tools
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and BIM360
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
