Summary

As a Direct Support Specialist at Friends of New Milford, Inc., you will play a vital role in empowering individuals with intellectual disabilities by providing personalized support in their daily activities, crucial in helping our clients achieve greater independence and enhancing their overall quality of life.

Hours; 8:00am-3:00pm

Must pass pre- employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

  • Assist individuals with disabilities in daily living activities.
  • Monitor and document client progress and changes.
  • Ensure a safe and supportive environment for all clients.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of patient care principles and practices.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
  • Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with individuals with disabilities.
