Position Overview

The Human Resources Generalist plays a critical role in overseeing daily HR operations and serving as a trusted partner to leadership and employees. This position is ideal for a self-motivated professional with strong HR experience who enjoys both strategic and hands-on work.

You will oversee all core HR functions including recruitment, offer and onboarding, benefits administration, government compliance, employee relations, safety sensitive drug and alcohol program, annual reviews, employee training, information system entry and update, employment policies, personnel files, FMLA administration, and HIPAA compliance ensuring our people programs align with Rennia Aviation's mission and values.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Lifecycle & Relations

  • Manage all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, and offboarding.
  • Partner with managers to support performance reviews, PTO oversight, employee relations, and team communication.
  • Serve as a trusted resource for employees and leadership, handling HR-related inquiries with professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Conduct exit interviews, analyze trends, and recommend improvements to enhance retention and engagement.

Compliance & Policy Administration

  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and aviation-specific employment regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Manage the Flight Crew Drug & Alcohol Program, ensuring all FAA requirements, random testing, and documentation are properly administered.
  • Ensure adherence to company HR policies and assist leadership in interpreting and applying them consistently.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate HR documentation, personnel files, and HRIS data.

Benefits & Compensation

  • Coordinate employee benefits administration, including enrollments, renewals, and employee communications.
  • Oversee annual open enrollment and serve as the liaison with benefits providers.
  • Support workers' compensation and leave of absence processes.

Training, Culture, & Engagement

  • Organize and coordinate annual employee training sessions, compliance programs, and company-wide meetings.
  • Assist with company events, employee recognition initiatives, and engagement programs that reinforce Rennia's culture.
  • Collaborate with leadership to maintain a positive, high-performance workplace culture.

Strategic & Administrative Support

  • Provide HR reporting and insights to leadership on trends, compliance, and workforce metrics.
  • Participate in continuous improvement of HR processes and systems.
  • Stay informed on HR best practices, trends, and new technologies.
  • Perform other HR-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years of HR experience at a Generalist or higher level; experience in a standalone HR role strongly preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and compliance requirements.
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Aviation industry experience and familiarity with FAA Drug & Alcohol Program administration strongly preferred.
  • HR certification (PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP) or degree in Human Resources or related field a plus.

Location: Gainesville, FL (In-Person)

Pay: $63,000 – $73,000 per year, depending on experience

Job Type: Monday through Friday, Full-time, In-Office

Occasional availability outside standard business hours may be required
