About the Role

We are seeking a reliable, skilled, and customer-service–focused Assistant Lead Maintenance Technician to join our apartment community's maintenance team. This role supports the Lead Maintenance Supervisor and ensures the property remains safe, functional, and well-maintained for all residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Lead Maintenance in daily operations, planning, and task delegation
  • Complete work orders efficiently, including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, appliance repair, and basic carpentry
  • Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and unit make-readies
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests
  • Maintain property grounds, amenities, and common areas
  • Ensure all maintenance tasks comply with safety and regulatory standards
  • Help manage inventory, tools, supplies, and vendor coordination
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to residents and team members

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of maintenance experience in residential or multifamily housing preferred
  • Strong knowledge of general maintenance, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair
  • HVAC certification
  • Ability to work on-call shifts every other week
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions
  • Valid driver's license required
