Job Description

The Regional Clinical Manager oversees drug inventory management, employee relations, facilitates and implements training, equipment, acts as a back up to COO for the ROP program and acts as a resource for offices.



Essential Functions

  1. Monitors drug inventory on a weekly basis.
  2. Reviews proper drug storage and handling requirements.
  3. Monitors drug spoilage, loss and expiration, proactively moves drug to avoid expiration.
  4. Assists with drug shuffling and surges.
  5. Familiar with Arbimed and assists offices with Arbimed education.
  6. Reviews and monitors BA reports on a weekly basis and works with offices to resolve errors.
  7. Builds relationships with drug reps.
  8. Monitors sample distribution.
  9. Provides training, tools and guidance for new drug therapies.
  10. Monitors and reviews drug recalls with COO and notifies offices immediately and implements plan to return and replace recalled product.
  11. Facilitates and implements streamlined training for all new and existing techs including but not limited to specialty pharmacy, spocing, transition of care, research / telemedicine.
  12. Assists managers with employee relations, performance and time and attendance.
  13. Provide oversight for repairs and maintenance of equipment.
  14. Resource to offices for all things related to drug, specialty pharmacy, Spocing, research, employee relations and equipment.
  15. Knowledge of the ROP process and guidelines.
  16. Act as backup to the COO for the ROP program.
  17. Collaborates and co-leads the monthly manager meeting with the Regional Manager 1.
  18. Serve as a clinical resource to Clinical Managers.
  19. Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has direct supervision of Clinical Managers.

  2. This position is very active and requires standing and walking, traveling to other offices as needed.
  3. Occasional bending, kneeling, stooping and crouching.
  4. Lift or move objects weighing over 20 pounds.
  5. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  6. Using hands to operate equipment, show manual or finger dexterity, handle things with precision or speed, use muscular coordination and physical stamina.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Must be available by cell phone after hours. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.



Travel

Travel is 50% or more to Mid Atlantic Retina's offices as needed.



Required Education and Experience

  1. Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Management role preferably in a multi-site/multi-department medical office environment.
  2. Ophthalmology/Medical Practice leadership experience required.
