Job Description
The IP Routing and Integration Engineer will perform advanced Network integration services in support of the client Service Routers in the customer's networks. Responsibilities include creating Methods of Procedure (MOP), service preparation, MOP execution, software upgrades and Test and Commissioning to include providing trouble shooting support as required for deployment activities.

The Engineer must possess product and technology knowledge as follows:

  • Understanding of IP/MPLS Routing Technology
  • Understanding of New Data Center Architecture (Spine/leaf)
  • Understanding of Mobile Front/Backhaul deployment
  • Understanding of End to End BNG deployment
  • 7950 SR Router
  • 77xx SR Router
  • 72xx IXR Router
  • Network Services Platform (NSP)
  • Virtualized Service Router (VSR)

IP & Routing Major Technical Tasks provided (Applicable to Level 1and 2)

  • NRS I Certified
  • CQ Creation, CWS, Configuration Script Creation
  • Status Calls, Project Requirements and Planning
  • Prechecks/ Post Checks (dump existing config, admin save, create rollback points) on all MLS, Offload and Hub 7750
  • Establishing sessions, bringing up GUIs, informing VzW NOC/MSC of MW activities Determine HLD/LLD requirements
  • Build configs based on tools output
  • Determine HLD/LLD requirements
  • Planning Meetings
  • Site access, and travel as needed
  • CQ pre-population
  • Configuration pull/sanity checking/IPmod
  • SR-1 & 7210 CQ
  • IXR-s CQ
  • NRS II Certified
  • LLD / MOP Review
  • Configuration Testing
  • Push Software releases
  • Maintenance Window Card install, provisioning, port turn-up
  • Email reports, posting logs on SharePoint, informing VzW NOC/MSC of the completion of MW.
  • Executing script on all Offloads, then all MLS
  • Execute scripts on as many 7705's/7250's as possible in the maintenance windows
