Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Manage inventory using warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners to track stock levels accurately.
- Assist with stocking, picking & packing orders, and preparing shipments for delivery or storage.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and control procedures to ensure stock accuracy and prevent loss.
- Support shipping & receiving activities by verifying inbound and outbound shipments against documentation.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace adhering to OSHA safety standards and mechanical safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize warehouse operations and improve efficiency.
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, inventory management, or related roles with a strong understanding of warehouse processes.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers safely and effectively.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, AS400 systems, and inventory control software.
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation and materials handling tools.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for stocking, order picking & packing, shipping & receiving tasks.
- Experience in manufacturing or construction environments is a plus.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and best practices for heavy lifting and mechanical operation.
