The Maintenance Manager role is a unique opportunity to lead the maintenance function at our greenfield startup. This individual will build the team, establish the way work is done, and create a long term strategy for the maintenance department at the plant. This position will lead maintenance planners, supervisors, and all 3 shifts of skilled industrial mechanics.

Primary Planning And Start-Up Responsibilities

  • Provide detailed input to project plans and schedules.
  • Partner with corporate maintenance support to develop planner and supervisor roles, providing them the tools, training, and coaching to be successful.
  • Provide onboarding for all new mechanics on key maintenance topics. Utilize industry best practices and vendor provided training to set the team up for success day
  • Support the establishment a safety culture rooted in Human & Organization Performance principles
  • Lead the plant implementation of the CMMS system – ensuring that we utilize our systems to set up assets, document preventative maintenance plans, and capture parts and labor usage.
  • Help create a culture and provide the tools for problem solving at all levels of the organization, building a culture that surfaces and solves problems related to safety, quality, and efficiency - involving employees at all levels to own it and improve it.

Primary Ongoing Production Responsibilities

  • Using a people-first and process-disciplined approach, coach the maintenance teams to achieve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost performance in partnership with a cross-functional staff.
  • Champion a proactive safety culture - ensuring every team member feels responsible for identifying and addressing risks before they become issues.
  • Build a culture that surfaces and solves problems daily - driving continuous improvement in people, process, and product.
  • Foster two-way communication - ensuring team members are not only well-informed and engaged, but also empowered to share insights, influence decisions, and shape outcomes.
  • Promote a collaborative environment where cross-functional teams align around shared goals and celebrate collective wins.
  • Lead with integrity - modeling ethical decision-making and fostering a culture of trust and accountability.
  • Inspire a high-energy environment where positivity, resilience, and a growth mindset are contagious.
  • This position reports to the Site Leader and is a key member of the site leadership team.
