Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate, Pet Bather / Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional care. As a Pet Bather, you will be responsible for ensuring that pets are clean, comfortable, and well-groomed, contributing to their overall well-being and happiness.

Duties

• Bathe pets according to their specific needs and preferences.
• Handle animals with care and ensure their safety during grooming sessions.
• Maintain cleanliness of the bathing area and grooming tools.
• Assist in drying, brushing, de-shedding, and styling pets as required.
• Observe pets for any signs of health issues or discomfort and report findings to the veterinary staff or pet owners.
• Provide basic animal restraint when necessary during grooming procedures.
• Engage with pet owners to provide updates on their pets' grooming experience.
• Lift and handle large or heavy animals safely as needed.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and understanding clients' needs
• Experience in animal care or handling is required; background as a veterinary technician, veterinary assistant, or in equine care is a plus.
• Knowledge of dog handling techniques and basic dog training principles is beneficial.
• Strong ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners and team members.
• A genuine passion for animal welfare and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
• Quick learner with computer software
