Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced General Contractor to oversee construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various construction disciplines, including but not limited to plumbing, electrical work, and carpentry. This role requires excellent project management skills and the ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively. The General Contractor will ensure that all work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Duties

  • Manage all phases of construction projects, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and laborers on-site.
  • Conduct regular inspections of construction sites to monitor progress and quality of work.
  • Prepare detailed estimates for project costs, including materials, labor, and time requirements.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide construction activities.
  • Oversee the installation of various systems including plumbing, electrical, roofing, and flooring.
  • Ensure proper use of hand tools and power tools by all team members.
  • Manage restoration projects, including masonry work, concrete finishing, plastering, and hardscape installation.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients regarding project status and any changes in scope or schedule.

Experience

Candidates should have a proven track record in the construction industry with experience in the following areas:

  • Construction management and estimating
  • Construction inspection
  • Blueprint reading and schematic interpretation
  • Proficiency in using Bluebeam for project documentation
  • Hands-on experience with carpentry (including frame carpentry, trim carpentry, cabinet installation), concrete forming, tile laying, caulking, glass installation, door hanging, construction painting, welding, and heavy equipment operation.
  • Familiarity with restoration techniques and practices. Ideal candidates will also have experience working on diverse projects that involve remodeling as well as new builds. A commitment to quality workmanship and safety is essential for success in this role.

Pay: $ $28.12 per hour
