THE JOB
We are seeking a motivated and experienced individual to take on the Maintenance Supervisor role at The Dome. This position helps to oversee the upkeep, care, repairs, and maintenance of our venue. Under the direction of the Operations Manager, this hands-on leader will ensure The Dome continues to be a premier destination for artists, management, fans, and crew.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
- Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- Assist with venue projects, including but not limited to, painting, construction, building repairs, plumbing and electrical.
- Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
- Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Driving forklift and complete all required tasks that fall under those positions.
- Perform all other duties as assigned or needed by the Operations Manager or General Manager.
- Preferred skills but not required – electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
Required:
Working knowledge of high-volume nightclub operations, responsible alcohol service and guest relations
Skills in guest relations/staff relations- ssessing and anticipating special needs of guests
Prioritization of duties and effective communication skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks/issues at one time effectively, with an upbeat attitude
- Read guests in order to anticipate their needs
- Turn potentially negative situations into positive ones
- Communicate well with team members and managers and foster an atmosphere of unity and camaraderie
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Physical Demands/Working Environment:
- Working environment is fast-paced, often loud and stressful
- Position requires extended periods of prolonged standing and working on your feet
- Must be able to lift or move up to 40 lbs using proper lifting techniques
