Think, try, and thrive with us in collaborative work environments that spark game-changing concepts.Job Overview:Monitors the department's performance, manage & allocate manpower and strengthen and develop the organization's production & planning structure. Develops, implement and improves complex manufacturing production processes and methods.Responsibilities:Develops best practices to improve production capacity, quality and reliabilityManage the implementation of continuous improvement processes for efficiency to create a Lean Manufacturing environment.Investigates problems, analyzes root causes and derives resolutions. Will use 8D Problem Solving Process to ensure sustainable quality products.Develops operational strategies to achieve production and financial objectivesAssures product and process quality by designing complex testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processesParticipates in budget preparation and monitor expenses and profitabilityWrites spec books; requests and evaluation of supplier quotationsDesigns, documents, and implements medium to large-scale manufacturing processes. Determines feasibility of product changesUtilize system analysis of production methods/procedures and process automations for continued growth improvements.Performs a variety of complicated tasks relying on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goalsEvaluates current production activities and drives improvementsPeriodically ensures that highly technical equipment meets required specifications and high quality standardsImplements cost reduction initiatives while maintaining high quality standardsContributes to product and process quality design testing methodsDevelops planning standards, methods, and proceduresPlans workplaces considering ergonomicsStays current with product specifications, engineering technology and production processesProvides guidance to team members to accomplish production goals; Mentors and provides guidance to less senior manufacturing engineers for skill/knowledge base development.Motivate, develop, direct and influence team members at all levels and cultural backgrounds of the organization.May act as deputy for Production ManagerProposes and manages medium-scale projects from beginning to end. May scope and manage large capital investment projects (>$5M)Participates in regularly scheduled team meetingsWill perform other duties as assignedQualifikationenQualificationsBachelor's Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or other relevant degree required*.Over 5 years of relevant experience required, strongly preferring assembly manufacturing in Trim or Chassis, including experience such as:Hands-on Programming experience in booth or work cellPLC experience such as; Siemens Step 7, Tia Portal, ,Hands-on experience in off-line simulations3D-CAD experience such as; Inventor, SolidWorks, Catia, Siemens NX, ect.Hands-on experience pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and computer controlled systemsHands-on experience with process devices such as; motor drives, sensors, AC/DC converters, encoders, lifts, conveyors, etc*6 years of relevant experience may be substituted for degree.Knowledge of manufacturing methods/procedures and process technology.Able to perform essential functions of the jobKnowledge and SkillsAbility to present complex technical information related to achieving goals of the department.Able to influence team members at all levels of the organizationProven written and verbal communication at all levels within the organization with good negotiation skills.Able to anticipate needs and deliver timely, relevant solutions and actions.Proven design & implementation of Continuous Improvement themes with savingsKnowledge of value stream mapping to reduce waste and improve output in a production environment is desired.Experience in process layout and optimization incorporating asset utilization is a plus.Background in manpower distribution based on production and efficiency targets.Ability to troubleshoot, instruct repair techniques, & assist if needed for root cause analysis in stressful situationsAbility to read & create blueprints and schematicsKnowledge of trim and chassis assembly processIf you have experience in the above and are interested in joining an outstanding company we welcome you to apply.We are all in for change.
