Greenport Construction Inc. is a licensed GC in San Rafael. We work primarily in San Francisco, North Bay/Marin County, and often in Sonoma County and the east bay. We are searching for an experienced crew leader to add to our team.

The crew leader is responsible for overseeing daily operations at our various worksites to ensure the completion of projects in a safe and efficient manner. The duties also include leading crew members and trade professionals to perform specific tasks, monitoring time clocks and expenses for workers, supplies or tools and reviewing laws and regulations to maintain a safe work environment in addition to carpentry and general construction duties.

Other duties and responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating daily tasks according to priorities and plans, making changes when necessary due to weather, supply, delivery and personnel
  • Delegating individual responsibilities and projects to crew members and contractors
  • Training, managing and mentoring employees and contractors
  • Providing adequate resources and staffing to meet project schedules, laws, regulations, best practices and safety needs
  • Emphasizing safe use of tools, machinery and equipment while providing training on safety gear, and procedures
  • Managing project time clock's, budgetary expenditures and quality standards
  • Resolving conflicts or miscommunications quickly and amicably
  • Regularly reporting project status to supervisors, site engineers and other officials

We do require at least 5 years of lead carpentry or supervisor experience. This is a full-time position with a flexible schedule.
