Director of Nursing (RN) – Home Health Agency
Description
The Director of Nursing (RN) serves as the clinical leader for a Home Health Agency and is responsible for oversight of all patient care services, clinical quality, and nursing practice standards. This role provides leadership, ensures compliance with applicable healthcare regulations, and supports the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care in a home health setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership and oversight of nursing services
- Supervise and support nursing staff and clinical operations
- Ensure compliance with professional standards, care protocols, and documentation requirements
- Oversee development, implementation, and review of patient care plans
- Monitor quality assurance processes and implement clinical improvements
- Support accurate documentation and effective use of EMR/EHR systems
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care delivery
Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted California Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- License must not be suspended, revoked, or under disciplinary action
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience in home health or related clinical settings preferred
- Strong understanding of clinical compliance, documentation standards, and patient-centered care
