Under the direction of a Maintenance Supervisor I, maintain County grounds including lawns, walkways and trees; train and provide work direction to others.
Grounds Maintenance Worker II incumbents are assigned lead duties and more complex duties such as designing, laying out and installing irrigation systems. Grounds Maintenance Worker I incumbents maintain County grounds including lawns, walkways and trees.
Any combination equivalent to: one year grounds maintenance experience involving operation and maintenance of power grounds equipment and the maintenance and repair of irrigation systems.
Valid California driver's license. Incumbents in this classification must pass a law enforcement security check.
A valid driver's license may be required at the time of appointment and employees may also be required to drive their own vehicle and provide proof of liability insurance as per Vehicle Code VC

This position may require pre-employment drug test, physical examination, and fingerprinting for a background investigation.
