The Accounting Team is seeking an Accounting Associate Intern.

Responsible for assisting the Accounting team with multiple objectives and projects. These may include but are not limited to the essential functions listed below. Must be able to adapt to a fast-paced environment and provide project deliverables within a reasonable time period.

Essential Functions:

1. Processes a select group of Loan Accounts Payables for the Bank.

2. Interacts with employees, as required, to ensure that a properly submitted invoice is received for a payment request and processes those requests through the Bank's AP module according to policy.

3. Prior to payment, all invoices are properly approved by designated personnel, and all invoices are properly coded to the correct General Ledger account.

4. Accurately keys data and gives attention to accounting detail.

5. Scans multiple documents, including but not limited to bank statements, and journal entries, as required for record retention.

6. Maintains and creates multiple schedules of varying financial data.

7. Assist the Financial Reporting, Accounting Operations, and Reconciliation team with audit requests.

8. Performs general ledger reconciliations of select accounts.

9. Functions as a team and realizes all members of the team are vital to its success.

10. Review 1099 vendors

11. Performs other duties as required.

Skills:

· Detail oriented, high level of ownership and accuracy

· Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills

· Sound judgment

· PC proficiency, with emphasis on spreadsheets

Education:

· Major in Accounting, Finance or Business

Experience:

· Proficiency in computer software packages (i.e. Microsoft Office, Power Point, etc)

The base pay range for this position is $ $31.25 per hour. Compensation may also include annual bonuses and long-term incentives, subject to various metrics and company policy. A candidate's salary is determined by several factors including travel, relevant work experience or skills and expertise.
